There is(was)+no +动词ing句型，表示做某事是不可能的。意思相当于 It’s impossible to do sth.或 We can’t do sth.,表示“不可能做某事”。
There is(was)+no +动词ing结构相当于It is(was) impossible to +动词原形，如：

说出将要发生什么是不可能的。
